Introduction
FRA 1050 is a masterbatch of stabilised and microencapsulated red-phosphorus ( 50%) based on polyamide 6 . It is a halogen free flame retardant additive based on red-phosphorus particularly suitable for polyamide articles done by both injection moulding and extrusion.
Like all Is masterbatch , it's free-flowing and dust free masterbatch in cylindrical pellets form which makes it easy to handle, to dose and to process more safely than traditional red-phosphorus . Suggested loading level : 8 -12 % according to PA type and filler's type

Important remarks

the following items have to be taken into consideration:
1) to incorporate masterbatch in a predried virgin polyamide
2) to run the process on twin screw extruders adapted for Polyamide compounds.
3) to run the process as gently as possible: mixers or extruders operating under high shear stresses might reduce the development of volatiles (f.e.hydrogen phosphide);
4) to operate in a well ventilated working place

The masterbatch is stable if maintained in the original sealed bags and under ordinary storage conditions.
